Remember me?!

It may have seemed like I had fallen off the face of the blogging world, but rest assured I have not! I know it has been FOREVER since I have updated y'all and for that I am sorry! I'm not even sure where to begin! Caleb is now 4 months old!! I cant believe my baby is 4 months old! ( I still love saying "my baby" or "my son" It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside!) Being a mom has to be hands down the best decision I have ever made. I will admit I was terrified at first. That's A LOT of responsibility for one person to have. To know that this little one depends on me for EVERYTHING! I love spending all my time with him. He learns new things everyday. He rolls over, he laughs, he still sleeps through the night! We have had a few days where is has gotten up during the night, but he has always gone right back to sleep. He just needed a midnight snack! It melts my heart when he smiles at me. When his face lights up when he sees me has got to be the best feeling in the world! I am so excited to have his first Christmas. We went and had breakfast with Santa this morning. Then this evening we went to Zoo Lights with Grandma and Grandpa Fish and Uncle Dustin. Caleb was such a good boy! I bundled him up and put on the Moby and wore him facing out so he could see. He loved it! I am so lucky I get to stay home and be with him everyday! Although, we are having bottle issues! He has apparently been spoiled and he will sometimes refuse to take a bottle. This is a problem! He can be stubborn (like his daddy!) and he will hold out. Its not fun for the care taker! (mostly Grandma!) He will scream and cry himself to sleep, then do it all over again! I will be calling the lactation specialist Monday for some advice. Caleb was 14.2 pounds at his 4 month check-up. A little below average, but nothing to be concerned about. Well I promise to keep up on this better! my battery is gonna die so I need to sign off. That would suck to lose it all!

One Year Later

One year ago today was my miscarriage. It's crazy how much my life has changed in just one year. We have a beautiful baby boy, who is our everything! Caleb has brought so much joy to our life. I had no idea I could love 2 people as much as I love Matt and Caleb. I love to watch Matt with his son. I fall more and more in love with that man on a daily basis!
Just wanted to let everyone know we are doing good. OH and Caleb is sleeping through the night! Ever since he turned 2 months old he has made it through the night every single night! Its been wonderful!! Lets hope he keeps it up!
Love you all,
Kelly

9.5 weeks old already!

Tuesday Caleb and I went to Issaquah to daddy's work. The Seahawks were doing a fund raiser for United Way. Caleb and I got our picture taken with Lofa! Lofa said Caleb was a handsome young man! Caleb got his and Deon Grant's autograph. His first piece of Seahawk memorabilia. Daddy got to show Caleb off to the people in his office. Everyone loved him! He was happy and giving lots of smiles! Today was Caleb's 2 month check up. He is 12.1 pounds and 24 inches long. He is in the 75% for height and 50% for weight. He got 2 shots today. :( The look on his face was so sad when they gave him the shot. I had a lunch meeting with my boss so Matt stayed home and watched Caleb. Matt said he was so cranky! every time he moved his leg he would cry. Poor baby.
My lunch meeting went great! I will be working from home! I get to stay home with our little boy! I am so happy! I can probably start as soon as Monday. That's really about all here. Caleb is growing like a weed and does something new everyday. I am so happy I wont miss anything! Be on the look out for Halloween pictures! Love you all

6 weeks!

Can you believe its been 6 weeks! He is getting so big! I love it when his eyes light up when he sees me. When he hears daddy he looks around for him. He is smiling a lot now, and can halfway roll over! He can roll from tummy to back, but only halfway from back to tummy. At his 1 month check up he weighed 10lbs 3oz and was 21 3/4 inches long. He is out growing his newborn clothes. the shirts fit but the pants are tight and the sleepers are too short. He is sleeping really good. He sleeps for about 4 hours at a time. the other nite he slept for 5 hours ate then went back to bed for 4 more hours!!

We got his pictures taken! As soon as I get the cd I will post some. They are amazing!! So this is probably the most boring post ever! I have a crying baby right now! Talk to you all soon!

3 weeks old!

My little man is 3 weeks old already! I can't believe I have been a mom for 3 weeks! Its amazing how much he has changed already. He stays awake longer and loves to look around. We have had a few rough nites but lately it has been wonderful! He is sleeping up to 3 1/2 to 4 hours at nite, and takes a few naps during the day. We had our first outing last weekend. Caleb and I left the house all by our selves! We went to the Sysco company picnic and we were outside all afternoon. Then after that we went to Tia's house to watch the Seahawk game with her and the kids. Caleb got to meet the Cady babies for the first time!
The first 3 weeks have gone by pretty fast. My mom was here for the first 2 weeks. That was nice. Then my aunt and uncle came for a visit, now my dad and sister are on their way here! Caleb is a popular boy! Matt has 2 more weeks of leave. He has been AMAZING! He cooks, he cleans, he calms Caleb down. He makes me take naps! I love him so much! He is so good to me!
Matt has been pretty good about posting pictures on Facebook of Caleb. So if you aren't on there, you should be! (Christina & Rob!!) Oh I have to go now. Caleb is demanding my attention!

Caleb

Caleb Joseph McAllister born August 3rd at 4:24 am. He weighed in at 8 pounds and 2 ounces and was 20 inches long. I still can't believe he is here! It all happened so fast. Matt and I went to the ocean on Saturday and came home Sunday. Matt went and played golf Sunday evening and I caught up on my DVR shows. I stated having contractions that felt very different from all the Braxton Hicks I had been having. These were more intense and LOTS of pressure but still irregular. By 9 that night they were happening more and more. Matt wanted to time them for fun and they were 5 minutes apart lasting about 30 seconds. So we decided to pack a bag just in case. At midnight I went downstairs to let Matt get some sleep, I couldn't get comfortable and I was moving all over. I started watching the clock and by 2 the contractions were 2-3 minutes apart. I went upstairs to get Matt and we called labor and delivery. The lady on the phone says "are you sure you want to come in?" Matt says yes we are defiantly coming in. The walk from the parking garage to the lobby to check in took us about 25 minutes. My contractions were almost on top of each other and they hurt!! I had to keep stopping. We get checked in and a nurse comes to examine me and says, "Oh honey you are dilated to 7, you will be staying with us." They called my doctor and she said since this is her first child it will take a while. So we get to the room and I get into my gown and they start an IV and a different nurse comes in and wants to check me because I kept saying I want to push. She checks me and I am now dilated to 9.5! They have to call my doctor back and tell her to get in here NOW! The anesthesiologist finally gets there but its too late! I am trying my hardest NOT to push, Dr. Morris shows up and 15 minutes later and 3 big pushes Caleb is here. I pushed so hard so quick I broke blood vessels in both my eyes! Its not cute!
Now we are home and working on a routine. His feedings have been going great the last couple of nights. The first few nights were hard. I am so lucky to have Tia. She knows all the tricks and came over one night to help me! I don't know what I would have done without her. (Probably cried a lot!) Matt is a great daddy. he gets up with me every time, he changes diapers and rocks Caleb to sleep. I couldn't ask for a better husband or baby daddy! Now we learn to be parents. Its amazing how much I love this little guy already! I just want to hold him ALL THE TIME! I love to watch him sleep and when he is awake I love watching him look around. We have so much to look forward to!

37.5 weeks

Ok I am DONE!! I don't want to be pregnant anymore. I want Caleb to come out NOW! I am so uncomfortable! I can't sleep, even sitting at my desk at work is not fun. I seem to have contractions ALL the time. and this weather is TERRIBLE! It was 95 in my house last night. That's not ok! This is Washington! We have 75 degree days NOT 106!! OH and get this, I was told I have a cute waddle! Apparently I am large enough to waddle now!

I went shopping with Tia and the babies last weekend. Got some last minute things for Caleb. Since it has been so hot my bags are on the floor in his room STILL! its almost been a week and I haven't even unpacked the bags! Oh well.

I will post some pictures very soon. Maybe tonite when I get home I will take the laptop to my bedroom with my somewhat A/C. I really just wanted to whine to everyone! Ok I better get some work done. talk to you soon!

3 weeks left!

Here I am 36.5 weeks. I can't believe there is only 24 days left! Crazy how the last few months are flying by and the first few were so slow! Matt and I had a mini shopping spree at Babies R Us last night! it was WAY fun! We got the changing pad, and the cover that goes on it and the mattress pad and the lamp that matches Caleb's bedding and some bottles and the basket for the dishwasher for the bottle parts. Then I put it all away! I really need to figure out how to organize his changing table area. I seem to have WAY to much stuff on it. I guess I really don't need 10 packs of wipes and 500 diapers on the table right now. I think I better clean out my hall closet. Another thing to add to the list.

My Dr. appointment was Wednesday, Dr. Morris was gone so I saw Dr. Eun. Mr. Personality! He spend all of 3 minutes with me, measured my belly listened to the heartbeat, asked me about birth control and left. Nice to meet you too! Dr. Morris will be back next week so thats good! Thats really all thats going on right now. I am in waiting mode. I'm not sure how much longer I am going to work, my goal is to make it to Aug 7th but we will see what the doctor says.

OH! i didnt tell you about my AMAZING shower!! It was so cute decorated with jungle animals! I need to get some pictures from Matts mom and I will put them up. I had so many gifts! It seemed like I was opening them for hours! Megan and Shauna and Susie really out did themselves! I loved EVERYTHING about it! I cant wait to plan Megans!! Alright I better go. Talk to you all later!

Blog Blog Blog

Here it is Friday! I really don't have much to say, truth is I am board at work!! Don't get me wrong, I have plenty to do, I just don't feel like doing it!

I had my 35 week check up on Wednesday. I go every week now. All went well. Caleb is still measuring right on track. This is helping my 12 pound baby dreams! He just might be a 8 or 9 pound baby! I am OK with that! :)

We also had our last birthing class last night. It was good. We learned to swaddle the baby and different techniques to calm him down. We watched some videos and had a question and answer session.

I can't believe there is only 4 weeks left. I guess I can believe it, cuz I am movin slower these days! and the cankles this girl gets when she is on her feet all day or some of the day or for just a minute! it is pretty sad. All I want to do lately is sleep. oh and pee! as soon as I stand up I feel like I have to go bad! So i go and its just a tiny trickle. I have myself on an every 3 hour schedule during the nite. I am up at 11, 2 and 5 every nite/morning.

This weekend is another fun filled packed weekend. I will try and post pictures on Sunday nite.

2 posts in 1 week!

I had my 34 week check up on Thursday. Caleb is moving right a long. He measured at 35 weeks. I was 34 weeks and 4 days at the time of the check up. Dr. Morris says he is right on track! My blood pressure was good and the heart rate was nice and strong. I go back next week for the not so fun exam! Then she will be on vacation so i will skip a week and go back the following week. Dr. Morris did say he is slowly moving down. I can breathe again! But I get this awful pressure every time I have a Braxton Hicks contraction and it feels like he wants to push himself right out of me! not fun at all! Doc just told me to take it easy so he stays put!

Matt and I went to our birthing class last night. One of the couples wasn't there and the teacher said he water broke on Monday nite. She was only 32 weeks. She is in the hospital at Tacoma General getting drugs to keep her baby in for as long as possible. How scary!! We learned about c-sections last nite and practiced our breathing. Next week is our last week, then we should be pros at this whole giving birth thing. Yeah right!! I do feel like I have learned a lot so thats good.

This weekend is Shauna's baby shower. I am excited! I love watching what people get her. I still can't believe next weekend it will be my shower! That is so crazy to me! I love planning them and buying for them, now I will be the one playing the games and opening the gifts. It just seems so strange to me! Talk to you all soon!

Love,
Kelly

34 weeks!

Hi everyone! I know its been forever since I have posted an update. I'm sorry!! Here we are at 34 weeks! Can you believe it? less than 6 weeks left! I can't wait to meet Caleb! My work threw me a baby shower last week. it was fun! I got all kinds of clothes! Everyone at work was so nice and generous. It was so much fun bringing all the stuff home then going through it again with Matt, then putting it all away! I just love playing with his clothes! They are so small!

Matt and I have gone to 3 birthing classes so far. We have learned a lot of different breathing techniques, some good massage techniques and different positions to help me through labor. Last week we learned about all the different drugs that are available. Some of them scare me! As of right now my plan is to go as long as I can without any drugs. But we will see once I go into labor!

The Cady babies are doing great! I spent the morning with them last weekend and loved every minute of it! Miss Maggie even gave me 2 dirty diapers back to back! I got to feed her and love on them both. I just cant get enough of them! Tia is doing great! Talk about a super mom! She has a system down and makes it look easy. She was defiantly meant to be a mommy.

I am moving so much slower these days! I get tired by mid afternoon again. I swear my belly is growing everyday! I seem to think I am smaller than I really am! I try to squeeze behind a chair and almost get stuck! I am also very clumsy too. I keep running into things with my belly! I cut a corner too short and whack myself just about every time! I use to think I had a comfortable couch, but lately I can not find a comfortable position on it OH and the heartburn/acid from HELL! it has been so bad. I wake up at least 4 times a nite because I'm sure the acid has burned a hole right through my throat! The tums work long enough to get me back to sleep for about 2 hours then we do it all over again! Driving is getting harder too. It hurts to check my blind spots. Apparently I cant rotate that far anymore. Thats about all my complaints. I really think I have had a great pregnancy. *knocks on wood* I am so glad I didn't have to go through morning sickness and headaches and all the other not so fun stuff that can come with being pregnant.

So now I just wait and wonder what he will look like, will I be a good mom? All these crazy thoughts running through my head. I am so thankful for all of you! I know if I need anything I have so many people I can turn to. I am so blessed and loved!

Next Dr appointment is Thursday. I will let you know whats going on! Oh and here I am at 34 weeks. Large and in charge! love you all!

2 more months! WHAT??

Here I am at 31 weeks! Look how big I am getting! I cant believe there is only two more months left. I am excited and scared all at the same time. I feel like I have a lot to do, but I guess I really don't? Caleb's room is done. Well It has furniture and is decorated! He has a few outfits, I guess I should buy some diapers and wipes? Holy cow, I am going to be a MOMMY!!
Matt and I start our birthing classes tomorrow. When I called to register the lady told me I should have been in class last month!! UH OH!
Everything seems to be going good. My last Dr appointment my blood pressure was slightly elevated. She told me to take it easy now. I have been getting dizzy every so often. I think it's just Caleb's positioning. Oh and the heartburn is back with a vengeance! It gets so bad now.
I have few pictures of the decorations in Caleb's room. (Thank you Sarena!)
Photobucket
I love the stickers!
Photobucket
And the valence!
Photobucket
And of course the wall hangings! I love gliding in the chair and reading. Otis like to go in the room and lay in front of the crib. I think he knows something is going on, but isn't sure what it is yet. He checks Caleb's room every morning just to see if anyone is there yet. It's pretty cute!
Matt and Tia are having the twins on Friday! I am so excited to meet them! I will blog at ya'll later!

Lets see, where should I start? We got rid of all the junk in Caleb's room, painted, got new carpet and got all his furniture! I took pictures as we went with my camera but I have seemed to have lost or misplaced my camera! I know its in a safe place, but who knows where that place is! Don't you worry your pretty little heads! I did take some more pictures with the other camera! So here we go!

Calebs room
Here is Caleb's furniture!

Here is his bed! I love his bedding! I need to take a better picture so you can see the bumper and the sheets. They are so cute!

Thats about all I have for now. love you all!

Rounding 2nd headed for 3rd!

Hi everyone! I have officially entered the 3rd trimester! woo-hoo! I am feeling HUGE! but good. I am so excited how close I am to holding Caleb!!

Matt and I got so much done last weekend!! We went to Babies R Us and ordered Caleb's furniture. Tia called them for me on Friday and we found out there were only 7 cribs left in the US! and NO dressers!! We had to hunt down a floor model and we got another 10% off of it! The furniture has been secured! We should be able to pick it up in a week or two. Tia also found a sale going on at Burlington for my bedding and I took the flyer into Babies R Us and they price matched it!! Nice work T! Then Matt and I painted the room. We found a nice tan color called Gobi Desert. I think it will look really good with the bedding! Tomorrow the carpet men come and then I get to move 2 pieces of furniture into Caleb's room! (well Matt will move it!) We have the dresser and the glider came today!!

Things are coming together! I will post pictures soon. I want to take some tomorrow after the carpet is in THEN after the 2 pieces of furniture are in! Oh and of course a picture of me and my belly! That's all I have for now. Talk to you very soon!

Can I be happy and sad at the same time?

Today is May 21st. My due date from my first pregnancy. I have had so many emotions running through me today. I woke up in a funk. I was sad and just kept thinking what it would be like to be holding my baby. Then Caleb gave me a nice strong kick in the ribs and that made me smile. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason but its hard to not think about how it could have been. On the other hand I am so blessed and happy how smooth this pregnancy has gone (*knocks on wood!*) I feel great, I love my bump more than words can describe!

I had the heart ultrasound for Caleb yesterday. It was really cool to see the blood flow through the chambers. The Doctor said he doesn't expect to see me ever again! The tech zoomed out and we got to make sure Caleb was still a Caleb! I saw his little butt! and his legs. He is already head down and he loves to kick me in the ribs. He did something the other day, stretched maybe? but he found my bladder! I thought I was going to wet myself! I ran for the bathroom. Just to let you all know I did make it!

I have big plans for this weekend!! The room is finally cleared out, its time to paint! I think Matt and I are going to Babies R Us to get the crib, changing table and dresser. The style I like happens to be discontinued. What they have left in stock is all they will have. Figures! BUT its all on sale too! Then Wednesday we get new carpet. Hopefully Wednesday nite the crib will be set up! That might be asking for too much but I can hope!

I think its time for some Tums. I will blog at you all later!

Silly test had me worried!

Hello my faithful followers! Just a quick update for you all! I kicked the crap out of my diabetes test! Dr. Morris asked why I was so worried. She said I passed with flying colors! I did ask for a gold star, however, she was out. Next time! I am so relieved! I do need to take an iron supplement, I'm cool with that!

I am fighting off a stupid stupid cold! I thought I was losing, but I may have gotten the upper hand as of this morning! The sore throat is gone and the snot seems to have stop reproducing its self at an alarming rate, but, I now have a cough. Not to mention a red dry flaking nose. Good times!

I finally registered! With Tia's help we took on Babies R Us! I'm sure I forgot stuff or put stupid things on there but I will learn! I also bought Caleb's bedding. I love it! Its so cute!! Its called Jungle babies. We emptied the spare room last night, (when i say we I mean Matt! I love him!) well everything but the huge T.V. stand thing. Hopefully that will go tonight. Then we get to paint! I am going with tan walls since the bedding has lots of greens and yellows in it. OH I also got baby stuff in the mail! I actually have baby stuff in my garage!! I have the pack and play, the booster seat for eating, the baby monitor, and the thing you hang on the crib that plays nice music and lights up! It was fun opening it all this weekend! Since next weekend is a long weekend maybe we will have the room painted and furniture purchased?!

Alright my peeps, I need to get to work. Love to you all!

26 weeks!

OR 96 days left! OR 14 weeks left OR I am 65.7% there!! I can't believe it! It finally seems like things are moving right along.

Next week I have the heart ultrasound thing for Caleb. Its Wednesday the 20th. Just to make sure all is good. I had the worst nights sleep last night. I was up at least 6 times. I had the most horrible heartburn! It felt like my throat and chest were on fire!! Not fun at all!
So this weekend I have lots of plans for the baby's room!! I am going to buy the bedding, then match the tan color I want and start painting! Then we are having new carpet put in, THEN I can start getting furniture!! I am so excited! Matt and I ordered all kinds of baby stuff last weekend from a points system I have at work. I accumulate these points when I write new policies with a specific company. Anyway, I had 150,000 points and didn't even know it!! So we shopped! Stuff should start to get here on Friday.
Here is the 26 week belly shot. It is getting so big!
26 weeks
I will post pictures of the room as we go. Until next time!

and now I wait...

Today was my diabetes test. I drank the sugary fruit punch stuff and went to get my blood drawn. She took two tube fulls! Did she really need that much?! Now I wait. I go back in 3 weeks now, May 28th, and I will find out then. I did of course have my blood pressure taken and I am happy to report it was a tiny bit lower than last time. Dr. Morris said its still higher than she wants it to be but no need to worry yet. I need to learn to de-stress myself! I worry way to much about everyone and everything. I told the doc about my crazy dreams. In my dream I am in labor and I give birth to the largest baby EVER!! We are talking about a toddler size baby! I would wake up freaked out! I have had this dream a few times! No wonder I have high blood pressure! Dr. Morris promised me she wouldn't make me deliver a toddler!

I also got to hear Caleb's heartbeat. I will never get tired of hearing that! We talked about the heart ultrasound. She said the nurse would be calling me very soon to set up an appointment.

Matt needs to take it easy this weekend so no heavy lifting. Maybe next weekend we will get going on the nursery. We need to decide if we are getting new carpet, if so then we need to paint before we get the carpet. He keeps telling me it will only take a couple of weekends and I know he is right. I just want to see results now!

I cant remember if I told you guys that Matt got to feel a good hard kick on the plane ride home from Vegas! I would poke my tummy just above my belly button and Caleb would kick me on the right side. I did this about 3 times and he kept kicking!! I put Matt's hand on my right side, gave my belly another poke and Caleb connected with a good one! I am so glad Matt got to feel a good strong kick! The one he felt a few weeks back was a small one.

Happy Mother's Day to everyone! I will post new pics very soon!!
Love you all

What a nite!

Matt and I have been married for almost 9 years and we have never had to go to the ER until last night and it wasn't for me!

Let me take you back to last Monday April 27th, Matt is on his way to Vegas for a conference. He parks his truck at the Master Park lot and takes the shuttle to the airport. On the shuttle he is sitting in the front seats, as soon as you get on the bus he is in the seats to the right. A vehicle pulls out in front of the bus and the driver has to slam on his brakes. Matt slides across the seat next to him and hits his right bicep on the arm rest, breaks the arm rest, the force then spins him around and he hits his left bicep and head on the dash board and hits his knee on a bar in front of the dash board. The driver asked Matt if he was alright and Matt said he thought so. He called me that night and told me what had happened and that he was sore. He started taking aspirin for the pain.

Jump to Thursday April 30th, I get to Vegas and go to Matt's room. He finishes his class and comes to the room to see me. He shows me his arms and I couldn't believe what I saw! the two biggest knots and bruises I have ever seen! He continues to take aspirin for the pain the rest of the week.

Now we are up to yesterday, Monday May 4th exactly a week after the "almost accident." Matt calls me at work and tells me he needs to go to the Dr. Now you all know Matt doesn't go to the Dr unless something is VERY wrong. He told me his hands keep going numb and he has tightness in his chest. I gave him Dr Rich's phone number. They cant get him in until Tuesday at 10:30. I don't hear from him the rest of the day until 4:45 and I just left the office to go home. Matt calls and says he thinks he should go to the ER. WHAT?! He was already in Auburn so I made what could be called an illegal U turn and headed to the ER to meet him. We get there and there are several people there with masks on! Oh great now I'm going to catch the swine flu! The doc calls us back and Matt tells him whats going on, then the doctor immediately get Matt into a room and tells him to put on a gown. OK now I am getting scared. We wait for EVER before a doctor comes in and checks Matt. Then its off to x-ray. and more waiting. Matt gets back from x-ray and we wait for the results. Nothing is broken, thank god. He has two severe bruises with blood build up behind them. The build up is big enough that it is pushing on nerves and that's why his hands are going numb. The Doc gave him some drugs and finally we got to go home.

I was so relieved to hear nothing major was wrong. I have never seen my husband in a hospital gown and on a stretcher. It was very scary! And me being the emotional mess I am, it took everything I had not to cry. and I didn't!

So thats our first trip to the ER. Not a fun experience!

6 Months!

It is so crazy to think I am 6 months pregnant! I just can't believe how much fun it has been! (*knocks on wood!*) I am feeling good. I do get tired after being on my feet all day. I can feel Caleb kicking what seems like all the time now! Matt felt it last nite for the first time. It was a small kick but he finally got to feel it!

I spent Saturday with a few of my favorite pregnant girls (minus one!) We had a good time. Here is a picture of all our bellys!

belly bumps!

this is Carla, Shauna, me and Tia. Lots of babies to be born this year!

So my next doctor's appointment is May 7th. This is the appointment where I have to drink the sugar stuff and get my blood drawn for gestational diabetes. I'm not sure why, but this test freaks me out! The Dr says not to be worried and its a simple test and even if I do have the gestational diabetes everything will be ok. You know me! I'm a worrier and a googler! I have been reading all these terrible things about it so now I have myself convinced I do have it. I just need to get my mind off it! Maybe a trip to Vegas will work!

Alright my faithful followers! I love you all and will blog at you soon!

23 weeks

Hi everyone!

I am finally ready to post a new picture. I feel like my belly is growing more and more everyday. Today I noticed it seems heavy! When I am walking or just standing it feels like my belly is sagging. I don't know if that is the right word but it feels like gravity is pulling it down when I walk.

Next week I am going to Vegas with Matt. He will be there for work and I will fly in Thursday. I'm pretty excited. He has a suite at the Vanishan! I am looking forward to a little shopping.

Talk to everyone soon!

What a weekend!

Not only was this weekend beautiful we got a lot done! Matt and I cleaned out the garage, we took a truck full of junk to the dump. Then Matt posted his un-used gym equipment on Craigslist and 20 minutes later we had a buyer! The guy came to pick up the weight bench and free weights and his wife insisted she wanted the home gym, SOLD! My garage is the cleanest it has ever been! We have at least one more dump run and I will feel 50 pounds lighter!

Caleb's room is still a SLOW work in progress. Matt and I went to Babies R Us and I thought Matt was going to pass out! He was so over whelmed! My plan was to start our registry, but Matt didn't want any part of that! So we agreed to pick out the big stuff and I would come back and do the rest. We did finally pick out our bedding!! Its called Jungle babies and I LOVE IT! We found the rocker/glider we want and we figured out the color of the crib we want. We found some styles we liked but I want to bring in a seasoned veteran to help me out (hint hint Shauna!) We found a nice car seat stroller combo we liked. Matt even took the car seat out and folded the stroller down and took it for a test drive through the isles! Now I have to do the research on it. I want to read the reviews and see what others thought of it. I know we have a lot to do but I actually feel good after this weekend! We agreed on a lot of the big things. Now we need to get rid of that HUGE wall unit thing in the spare room so I can start painting!

I feel like we got a lot done in one day so I'm not so worried anymore! It will all come together! I just am so excited to start! I have a new belly picture to post, but I'm at work getting paid to blog and i don't have it here. I will post it soon I promise! I know you have all heard that one before! But I really will!

OH I almost forgot my most exciting news!! I felt Caleb kick from the outside yesterday! It was amazing! Ok I better get to work!

Love you all!

Not my favorite day...

I went to the doctors today for my monthly check-up. I got to hear Caleb's heartbeat, nice and strong! They took my blood pressure and told me its the highest it has ever been. I have never had high blood pressure. She didn't seem too worried, its not high enough to take medication for but she said it was high for me. So that freaked me out! She asked me if I have been stressed out about anything and I told her about my what I call mini anxiety attacks. She assured me Caleb is fine. She must have seen the scared look on my face! She rushed right over to me and hugged me. She told me to take it easy and just relax.

To top off this not-so-fun-day, my favorite nurse Kara is no longer there :( how sad! The new girl is nice but she is not Kara! Well that's about all I have for today. I will post some 21 week pictures soon.

Love you all!

1/2 way there!

We have hit our 20 week mark! 20 more to go! There is a tiny bit of light at the end of the tunnel! Things are going great. I feel Caleb moving all the time now. It still takes me by surprise, but I love it! The belly is growing at what I think is an alarming rate, yet i have only gained 2 pounds (since the last Dr appointment on 3/12/09. I'm almost positive I have packed on a few pounds since then!)

I am so excited we are having a boy! I would have been happy with either, but I know Matt wants a little boy to take fishing and to baseball and football games. I cant wait to see him hold his son for the first time!

I feel like I have so much to do but i don't know when to start doing it?! How soon is TOO soon? I went shopping last weekend and bought a couple cute outfits. I just love looking at baby stuff! I want to go pick out the crib and the bedding. I want to buy a rocking chair. OH and the research that needs to be done just to find a safe car seat! HOLY COW! When do I sign up for the birthing class? When do I tour the hospital? Maybe I have plenty of time to do all this and I'm freaking out for no reason! That could be! Apparently I'm not very patient!

No new cravings. I am still eating grapes by the bunch! I need to find something new to drink. All I have is water and I want something else, some kind of juice that doesn't give me heartburn! Is there such a thing?! I bought my first pair of maternity pants. they are comfortable but it does take some getting use to. The belly support thing goes just under my bra! That's a little high!

Well I better get going, I'm still at work! :) Getting paid to update my fans! I will post the 20 week picture either tonight or VERY soon!
Love you all!

It's a BOY!!

What an exciting day! i had a smile stuck on my face all day long!! We started the ultrasound and the tech showed us the head, the arms, the legs then she said,"Oh here is a penis!" Matt had the biggest smile on his face! We got lots of pictures and she made us a DVD. The DVD is pretty cool, you can see him moving around a lot. His legs were crossed at the ankles again. Just chillin!

His name is Caleb Joseph McAllister. Matt is exited to call him CJ.

Heres is a picture of his goods! you have to look for the little arrow.
Photobucket

This is a picture of him looking at us. A little creepy but cute at the same time. Matt still thinks he looks like an alien in this picture! His face is on the left.
Photobucket

This is my favorite picture. Its the best I have of his profile. you can see his ribs in this picture too. I cant wait to hold him and kiss this little face!
Photobucket

The tech said everything looked good. They might move my due date. Not by much, her screen said my estimated due date was now August 6th instead of 16th. She said we would just watch him and see if he just had a growth spurt!

It was so hard to go to work after this! I couldn't concentrate! I wanted to be out shopping! I'm not even sure what I want to buy but I NEED to buy something blue this weekend!!

Matt said we might be able to pull some still shots off the DVD, then they should be a little more clearer!

Love you all!

19 weeks!

19 weeks! Almost 1/2 way there. Belly is getting bigger and every once in a while I feel a flutter! It almost feels like gas bubbles but everyone tells me its not! I cant wait to feel it more.
I feel good. I have this abnormal amount of snot! I blow and blow and blow my nose. Dr. Morris says its because of all the extra blood in my body. The baby center website says our little one may be able to her us now!
Here is the 19 week picture.

We will be talking soon! This is going to be one of the most exciting weeks of my life!!

I love suprises!

Hi everyone!

So today was my monthly Dr appointment. Just the standard pee in a cup and listen to the heartbeat. I got to the office at 9:30 this morning, they called me back right away. I sat in the room for almost an hour all by myself! Dr. Morris came in said she was so sorry, then she said she forgot the heart doppler thing. I thought she was going to leave but instead she said "lets just do an ultra sound!" OK! I got to see my baby! we tried to get a sneak peek between the legs but my kid was laying there with his/her legs crossed at the ankles! It was so cute!! I saw toes! When I compare the last ultra sound from 8 weeks to this one from 17.5 weeks so much has changed! its a little person inside me! I am so excited for the "real" ultra sound in 2 weeks. Dr. Morris said we will see so much more then!

I will scan in a pic or two when I get home. I have been just staring at it all day trying to imagine what s/he is going to look like. I better get back to work!

one excited mommy-to-be!

17 weeks

Alright here is a pic. I promise I will TRY to post a picture a week. This one isn't that good since nobody was here to take it! I had to figure out the self timer, then figure out where to stand. After about 20 mistakes this was the best one I got then I gave up!

17 weeks

It seemed like all of a sudden I had a belly. Its like it came out of nowhere! This week the baby is the size of a hand spread out. I should be able to feel the baby move anytime now. I can't wait for the flutter in my belly!

Until next time, Love to you all!

Kelly

17 more days!!

17 days until my ultra sound! I am so excited I can't stand it!

It finally happened, I turned 30. I had a great birthday. My office at work was decorated with a ton of 30's stuff and my office got me a gift cert to Gene Juarez! I'm excited to use that! Matt took me to Victoria, BC. the Cadys came too. Tia and I shopped and the boys attempted to golf in the snow! We had a great time.

I promise promise promise to post pictures when I get home. My belly is growing! I cant button some of my pants now. Thank God for the bella band!! So instead of lots of spit in my mouth I have switched to dry eyes. This is the strangest thing. Most days my eyes just burn, and when I close them they just water away. I am constantly rubbing my eyes and I look like I am crying all the time! These are the strange things the books don't tell you!

I have a doctors appointment on Thursday. Just my routine pee in a cup and listen to the heartbeat. I am still craving apple juice. Lately I have been wanting sour candy. YUMM!!

OK I will be back tonight to post some pictures.

Love you all,

Kelly with the belly

174 days left...

Wow that seems like a long time! So this week I have read that our baby is the size of an apple or in another book, the size of a softball. (they do make sports references Ryan!) S/he is about 4 1/2 inches long. I also read that even though their eyes are still shut, they can sense light. if you shine a flashlight on my belly s/he will move away from it. I can not wait until I can feel him move!

Tia's little ones are moving all the time! she found out she is having a boy and a girl! They are so excited!! Matt and I are still up in the air on names. We have a couple we like but I want to come up with a couple more so we have some to choose from that we both like.

Susie took me maternity clothes shopping last week. It was so much fun putting on the belly! I got a lot of cute tops and a bella band. I should be able to wear my pants for a while now. My pants still fit, they just fit different. My belly is getting rounder and harder towards the bottom. Very exciting! I can't wait until I look pregnant and not just chubby!

No new cravings yet. I think I'm done with pasta. Haven't had it in a few days. Still drinking apple juice by the gallons! and water. i just cant seem to get enough!

My next Dr appointment is March 12th. I assume I will just pee in a cup and talk about different tests that I can have. Then March 26th is the most exciting one! I will be 19 weeks and 4 days then. I hope that's good enough to see the right places!

I better get back to work. I love you all.

The soothing sound of a heartbeat!

My Friday the 13th was WONDERFUL! It was so amazing to hear my baby's heartbeat! I could lay there and listen for hours. This feels so real to me now!! I have a baby growing inside of me! I am going to be a mommy. Dr. Morris said everything looked good and she will see me in 4 weeks. THEN on March 26th we will find out the sex!! That's a week earlier than I thought!! I am so excited. That seems so much closer than April!!

That's about all the news I have. I am still craving pasta like crazy! I was sure I have gained weight but I have lost another 7 pounds. Doc says that's ok for now. I'm not doing it on purpose. I have just changed the way I eat. Lots of fruit! I am hungry at lunch but at dinner I don't eat very much.

Matt and I are having trouble with names. He doesn't like ANYTHING! He says "I have never heard that name before" or "why would you name our kid a name that nobody has?" I just shake my head at him and smile. He said he would think of a name for a boy. That worrys me a little, after all he did name Otis and Melvin!

Next stop is 14 weeks on Sunday! The baby will be the size of a lemon. And he is able to make faces! He can squint and frown and suck his thumb!

I love you all!!

2nd Trimester here we come!

I am so sorry I have been terrible keeping this blog up-to-date. I guess not much has happened. I feel great! I have energy and no more morning sickness. I still get gaggy when I brush my teeth and take my pills, but thats it. OH I HATE HEARTBURN! How do people live with that?! That is the most terrible thing in the world! I get it ALL THE TIME! I have dinner at 5:30 ish and go to bed at 10ish and I get heartburn when I lay down! All I drink is water and I don't eat anything after dinner. Its CRAP I tell you!

The only cravings I have had lately are pasta and chocolate milk. Not together! I want pasta all the time. Any kind of pasta! Pasta with white sauce pasta with red sauce lasagna, anything noodley.

My hips and waist feel thicker. My belly is still just my belly. It is getting harder towards the bottom of my belly. I do have to go to the bathroom 3 or 4 times in a hour some days. but I do drink A LOT of water. OH and this is weird but I have a lot of spit in my mouth. kinda gross I know, but I really do. That's why I drink so much water, and I suck on hard candy too. It helps a little.

I did buy a maternity bra. One to wear to work and one to sleep in. They are wonderful! The girls have grown! I also bought one shirt since it was on sale and cute. Since the girls are bigger I'm not too comfortable in my normal work shirts. I feel like I have two large balloons in my shirt!

I am still working on cleaning out the spare room. I just need to figure out where to put all this junk we have! I have thrown a lot away and have a large pile for the goodwill. I want to start buying stuff but I'm not sure what?!

It is very exciting to be going through this with both Tia and Shauna! Tia is almost 19 weeks and Shauna is just days behind me! Oh and Shauna's friend Carla is close to Tia. Pregnant girls everywhere!

Alright, I have rambled on and on I better go for now. Oh my next Dr. appointment is next Friday the 13th! Matt didn't like that date but I'm not afraid of it! I love you all!

DR. Day!

Today was my 1st doctors appointment! I was so nervous. I was in the waiting room shaking, and almost sweating! My phone goes off, its Matt saying "calm down, everything will be ok." How did he know?! That made me smile and think, I have the best husband in the world!

Kara, the nurse I LOVE, called me back, I thought my knees were going to buckle, as soon as I got through the door she hugged me and told me how happy she was for me. We went over all the paper work an she told me to get undressed from the waist down. So I am sitting there in the cold room with a piece of paper over me waiting, an waiting and waiting. Finally a knock on the door and Dr Morris, who I also love, came in. The first thing she did was hug me. I must admit it was a little awkward hugging a woman when I don't have any pants on!

She started the ultra sound and first thing out of her mouth is, "hmmm" that's how she started last time, now I'm on the verge of tears and I ask if everything is ok and I reminded her that's what she said last time and she quickly says, "oh honey I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you sometimes we get interference from the machines upstairs" then she turns the screen to me and I see the most amazing thing! MY BABY!! I could see the heart beat! Then the little one starts to move!! All over the place. then it starts to kick its feet up and down! It was so precious! I just laid there and watched and cried. I have had a permanent smile on my face all day! She printed out two pictures for me to keep. once I scan them in I will post them. Its amazing how much I love this little baby and its only the size of the a grape!

I got home and Matt had bought me a bouquet of flowers and took me to dinner. We stopped at Target on the way home and I had to buy a baby towel with turtles on it that says I love daddy. I really don't think today could have been any better! My due date is still August 16th. Now I have to wait for 4 weeks before I go back. Is it weird that I want an ultra sound machine for my birthday so I can see the little one ALL the time?! :)

I want to thank everyone for the support and prayers you have given me. (Tia you are the BEST) This really feels real! I am going to be a mommy!! By Sunday the baby will have more than doubled in size to the size of a small plum. I am so excited and can't wait for the changes in the weeks to come!

I will keep you all posted on what goes on next with me and the little one. I love you all and thank you again.

9 Weeks!

We did it! We made it to 9 weeks and we are STILL pregnant! All the organs have formed and the baby is very active, but I cant feel it yet. I am so excited.
I even threw up the other day and I was so happy about it!! So far so good. I can not wait for my Dr. appointment of Friday. I want to hear the heartbeat and see everything is OK.
I want to start buying stuff but I'm not sure where to start. I guess I better clean out the spare room first, then start filling it up :) I guess that about it for now. I will let you know how my Dr appointment goes. Wish us luck!

The scary week

I am 8 weeks today! This was the week I miscarried in last time. I am very confident it wont happen again. I am having some serious nausea!! AND I almost threw up!! This is exciting for me because I didn't go through any of this last time. If my stomach is empty, I feel like I am going to throw up. That makes it hard to eat. I am super tired, and have to pee a lot too. My doctor's appointment is Jan 16th. FOREVER away. I will almost be 10 weeks then so I am hoping to see more than bean shaped baby with a heartbeat. Maybe fingers and toes?

It is so hard for me to read one week at a time in my pregnancy book. I want to read ahead so bad but Matt doesn't want to. He wants to know whats happening in the week we are in. He's so cute!

Until next time,
