Rounding 2nd headed for 3rd!

Hi everyone! I have officially entered the 3rd trimester! woo-hoo! I am feeling HUGE! but good. I am so excited how close I am to holding Caleb!!

Matt and I got so much done last weekend!! We went to Babies R Us and ordered Caleb's furniture. Tia called them for me on Friday and we found out there were only 7 cribs left in the US! and NO dressers!! We had to hunt down a floor model and we got another 10% off of it! The furniture has been secured! We should be able to pick it up in a week or two. Tia also found a sale going on at Burlington for my bedding and I took the flyer into Babies R Us and they price matched it!! Nice work T! Then Matt and I painted the room. We found a nice tan color called Gobi Desert. I think it will look really good with the bedding! Tomorrow the carpet men come and then I get to move 2 pieces of furniture into Caleb's room! (well Matt will move it!) We have the dresser and the glider came today!!

Things are coming together! I will post pictures soon. I want to take some tomorrow after the carpet is in THEN after the 2 pieces of furniture are in! Oh and of course a picture of me and my belly! That's all I have for now. Talk to you very soon!

Can I be happy and sad at the same time?

Today is May 21st. My due date from my first pregnancy. I have had so many emotions running through me today. I woke up in a funk. I was sad and just kept thinking what it would be like to be holding my baby. Then Caleb gave me a nice strong kick in the ribs and that made me smile. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason but its hard to not think about how it could have been. On the other hand I am so blessed and happy how smooth this pregnancy has gone (*knocks on wood!*) I feel great, I love my bump more than words can describe!

I had the heart ultrasound for Caleb yesterday. It was really cool to see the blood flow through the chambers. The Doctor said he doesn't expect to see me ever again! The tech zoomed out and we got to make sure Caleb was still a Caleb! I saw his little butt! and his legs. He is already head down and he loves to kick me in the ribs. He did something the other day, stretched maybe? but he found my bladder! I thought I was going to wet myself! I ran for the bathroom. Just to let you all know I did make it!

I have big plans for this weekend!! The room is finally cleared out, its time to paint! I think Matt and I are going to Babies R Us to get the crib, changing table and dresser. The style I like happens to be discontinued. What they have left in stock is all they will have. Figures! BUT its all on sale too! Then Wednesday we get new carpet. Hopefully Wednesday nite the crib will be set up! That might be asking for too much but I can hope!

I think its time for some Tums. I will blog at you all later!

Silly test had me worried!

Hello my faithful followers! Just a quick update for you all! I kicked the crap out of my diabetes test! Dr. Morris asked why I was so worried. She said I passed with flying colors! I did ask for a gold star, however, she was out. Next time! I am so relieved! I do need to take an iron supplement, I'm cool with that!

I am fighting off a stupid stupid cold! I thought I was losing, but I may have gotten the upper hand as of this morning! The sore throat is gone and the snot seems to have stop reproducing its self at an alarming rate, but, I now have a cough. Not to mention a red dry flaking nose. Good times!

I finally registered! With Tia's help we took on Babies R Us! I'm sure I forgot stuff or put stupid things on there but I will learn! I also bought Caleb's bedding. I love it! Its so cute!! Its called Jungle babies. We emptied the spare room last night, (when i say we I mean Matt! I love him!) well everything but the huge T.V. stand thing. Hopefully that will go tonight. Then we get to paint! I am going with tan walls since the bedding has lots of greens and yellows in it. OH I also got baby stuff in the mail! I actually have baby stuff in my garage!! I have the pack and play, the booster seat for eating, the baby monitor, and the thing you hang on the crib that plays nice music and lights up! It was fun opening it all this weekend! Since next weekend is a long weekend maybe we will have the room painted and furniture purchased?!

Alright my peeps, I need to get to work. Love to you all!

26 weeks!

OR 96 days left! OR 14 weeks left OR I am 65.7% there!! I can't believe it! It finally seems like things are moving right along.

Next week I have the heart ultrasound thing for Caleb. Its Wednesday the 20th. Just to make sure all is good. I had the worst nights sleep last night. I was up at least 6 times. I had the most horrible heartburn! It felt like my throat and chest were on fire!! Not fun at all!
So this weekend I have lots of plans for the baby's room!! I am going to buy the bedding, then match the tan color I want and start painting! Then we are having new carpet put in, THEN I can start getting furniture!! I am so excited! Matt and I ordered all kinds of baby stuff last weekend from a points system I have at work. I accumulate these points when I write new policies with a specific company. Anyway, I had 150,000 points and didn't even know it!! So we shopped! Stuff should start to get here on Friday.
Here is the 26 week belly shot. It is getting so big!
26 weeks
I will post pictures of the room as we go. Until next time!

and now I wait...

Today was my diabetes test. I drank the sugary fruit punch stuff and went to get my blood drawn. She took two tube fulls! Did she really need that much?! Now I wait. I go back in 3 weeks now, May 28th, and I will find out then. I did of course have my blood pressure taken and I am happy to report it was a tiny bit lower than last time. Dr. Morris said its still higher than she wants it to be but no need to worry yet. I need to learn to de-stress myself! I worry way to much about everyone and everything. I told the doc about my crazy dreams. In my dream I am in labor and I give birth to the largest baby EVER!! We are talking about a toddler size baby! I would wake up freaked out! I have had this dream a few times! No wonder I have high blood pressure! Dr. Morris promised me she wouldn't make me deliver a toddler!

I also got to hear Caleb's heartbeat. I will never get tired of hearing that! We talked about the heart ultrasound. She said the nurse would be calling me very soon to set up an appointment.

Matt needs to take it easy this weekend so no heavy lifting. Maybe next weekend we will get going on the nursery. We need to decide if we are getting new carpet, if so then we need to paint before we get the carpet. He keeps telling me it will only take a couple of weekends and I know he is right. I just want to see results now!

I cant remember if I told you guys that Matt got to feel a good hard kick on the plane ride home from Vegas! I would poke my tummy just above my belly button and Caleb would kick me on the right side. I did this about 3 times and he kept kicking!! I put Matt's hand on my right side, gave my belly another poke and Caleb connected with a good one! I am so glad Matt got to feel a good strong kick! The one he felt a few weeks back was a small one.

Happy Mother's Day to everyone! I will post new pics very soon!!
Love you all

What a nite!

Matt and I have been married for almost 9 years and we have never had to go to the ER until last night and it wasn't for me!

Let me take you back to last Monday April 27th, Matt is on his way to Vegas for a conference. He parks his truck at the Master Park lot and takes the shuttle to the airport. On the shuttle he is sitting in the front seats, as soon as you get on the bus he is in the seats to the right. A vehicle pulls out in front of the bus and the driver has to slam on his brakes. Matt slides across the seat next to him and hits his right bicep on the arm rest, breaks the arm rest, the force then spins him around and he hits his left bicep and head on the dash board and hits his knee on a bar in front of the dash board. The driver asked Matt if he was alright and Matt said he thought so. He called me that night and told me what had happened and that he was sore. He started taking aspirin for the pain.

Jump to Thursday April 30th, I get to Vegas and go to Matt's room. He finishes his class and comes to the room to see me. He shows me his arms and I couldn't believe what I saw! the two biggest knots and bruises I have ever seen! He continues to take aspirin for the pain the rest of the week.

Now we are up to yesterday, Monday May 4th exactly a week after the "almost accident." Matt calls me at work and tells me he needs to go to the Dr. Now you all know Matt doesn't go to the Dr unless something is VERY wrong. He told me his hands keep going numb and he has tightness in his chest. I gave him Dr Rich's phone number. They cant get him in until Tuesday at 10:30. I don't hear from him the rest of the day until 4:45 and I just left the office to go home. Matt calls and says he thinks he should go to the ER. WHAT?! He was already in Auburn so I made what could be called an illegal U turn and headed to the ER to meet him. We get there and there are several people there with masks on! Oh great now I'm going to catch the swine flu! The doc calls us back and Matt tells him whats going on, then the doctor immediately get Matt into a room and tells him to put on a gown. OK now I am getting scared. We wait for EVER before a doctor comes in and checks Matt. Then its off to x-ray. and more waiting. Matt gets back from x-ray and we wait for the results. Nothing is broken, thank god. He has two severe bruises with blood build up behind them. The build up is big enough that it is pushing on nerves and that's why his hands are going numb. The Doc gave him some drugs and finally we got to go home.

I was so relieved to hear nothing major was wrong. I have never seen my husband in a hospital gown and on a stretcher. It was very scary! And me being the emotional mess I am, it took everything I had not to cry. and I didn't!

So thats our first trip to the ER. Not a fun experience!
