Caleb turns 2!

Saturday the 6th we had Caleb's 2nd birthday party.  He LOVES Cat in the Hat so it was a no brainer to use that as the theme.  I had so much fun doing this party. I had a dessert table! I found so much stuff online. Mostly on Ebay.  Matt has threatened to change the password to our paypal account!! Gramma Susie took these pictures for me.

I loved loved loved the decorations! I made the invitations, and this banner. I found a lady on facebook to make the cake for me and I made the cupcakes.

I made the cup cake stand too!!
I dipped oreos in blue and red candy coating, we had carmel corn, red and blue candies, strawberry pops, rock candy, animal cookies, rice crispy treats and short bread cookies all with the red and blue colors.

I even glued those polka dots on the popcorn boxes!
I may have become obsessed!!
I made cookies for "thank you for coming" treats and found really cute favor boxes for the kids!

Caleb had a great time surrounded by friends and family.  Grandpa kept saying Thing 1 to Caleb and Caleb would say, "No! 2!!" and point to his shirt.  He was in heaven with all his friends and cousins playing in his yard.
My house looks so plain without the decorations! It was so festive looking now its just boring! Is it too soon to start planning for next years birthday?! I was so exhausted and in bed by 9:30 that nite! It was well worth it.

                                                            I love my little family!

so much to say

I've gone and done it again! It's been 10 months since my last update. Bad Kelly!! I'm not even sure I can remember what all has happened in the last 10 months! Caleb keeps me busy that's for sure! This kid is busy busy busy. He loves to play in our backyard. Matt built him a play set with a swing, a little club house and slide. Every morning when Caleb gets up he comes down stairs and goes right to the back door and says, "wing poweeeze" its so cute! I can't believe how smart he is. Well yes I can he is after all my kid! He amazes me everyday. His vocabulary is growing all the time too. This kid will repeat just about anything you say! We have so much to look forward to in the next few months.  We are taking a family vacation to Arizona next month, that should be fun. We will get to see lots of family.  Then Caleb will be turning 2 in August!! I can't believe I will have a 2 year old! I am having so much fun planning his party, it's going to be a Cat in the Hat theme! I am having so much fun buying and making stuff for his party.
Earlier this month we had a friend of Matts take some pictures of Caleb.  They turned out pretty cute. Here are a few.

Since we have lots of stuff coming up, I will be sure to take pictures and attempt to post a blog in the near future!

So much has happened

Since I am so far behind AGAIN, I almost threw in the towel and gave up on the blog. BUT then I thought, maybe just maybe someone still reads my blog, and who am I to deny them that small pleasure! So lets begin with Caleb's first airplane ride! I was ALMOST that mom and took his picture with the flight attendant, but I didn't. I did take many pictures in Arizona! It had been 3 years since we had all gotten together. This is my nana and all her grand kids and great grand kids

It was fun spending time with them again.  Here is a pic of ALL of us!

Nana and Caleb!
Matt was the only one missing. We had a great time. Lots of pool time, nights spent on the upper balcony watching the sunsets and fireworks.  The stars are AMAZING there.  Caleb did great on the plane. I was so nervous! on the way there he was fussy for about 10 minutes then fell asleep for over 2 hours! he woke up a happy boy.  On the way home he fell asleep right away but only slept for 45 minutes. Luckily we had a 13 year old boy sitting next to us and he played with Caleb the whole plane ride!

I took Caleb to Babies R Us to get his pictures taken.  He was 11 months here. He was such a ham! as soon as the lady got the camera he was all smiles! I just can't believe how cute he is!

On July 20th Caleb had his tear ducts unclogged.  It was a simple procedure, but I was a mess! They had to put him under and take a needle looking thing and stick it in the bottom tear duct in both eyes. The procedure took less than 10 minutes. Caleb woke up and was screaming! he was kicking his feet and his arms were going crazy. He was so scared when he came to. Matt and I went back and it took us a while to calm him down.  His eyes were so swollen.

Then his eyes turned black! The poor baby had black eyes for at least a week! I had to go to the grocery store one day and I am surprised I didn't get CPS called on me! The looks I got from people made me feel like a bad mom! These people would just stare at him then give me a dirty look! His eyes are so much better now!

Matt took the 3rd off and we had a family fun day! we went to the zoo and to Owen's beach. Caleb loved the animals. And the grass at the beach. We had such a good day. I love my little family.

Guess who turned one! I still can't believe he is one! That was one fast year.  I had so much fun planning his party! We had it at Gramma Susie's house, cuz our home is way to small with just us 3 and a dog! I found balloons with Caleb's name on them! It was a lot of fun.  He had so much cake, well mostly frosting! I had to put him in the sink to hose him off! He had a sugar high for awhile!
Well I am pretty much all caught up, for now...

Caleb's first Mariners game!

Monday the 31st Matt, Caleb and I went to the Mariners game.  We had tickets for the All Star suite!  He was so cute in his Mariners gear with his daddy.  Caleb had so much fun!  I thought the loud noise was going to scare him but it didn't. He was cheering and clapping and laughing most of the game!

Caleb got a certificate for attending his first Mariners game! I framed it and hung it in his room!  He made it to the 8th inning, he probably could have stayed the whole game but Matt had to get up for work the next day. The Mariners did end up losing the game but we still had so much fun! I cant wait to go again!

In other news, Caleb loves the bath! I can't wait for Chelan this month and Arizona next month! I hope he loves the pool as much as I do! I'm thinking about taking him to the Sumner Rec pool during the week to get him use to the pool.  He has mastered the army crawl, its pretty cute to see! This kid continues to amaze me everyday!  We have lots of fun stuff planned this summer so my plan is to blog a little more. Wish me luck!

Time to catch up AGAIN!

I have become so bad at this whole blog thing. I really don't have an excuse either. Lets see whats new. Caleb is now 8 1/2 months old! He is getting so big! He loves to eat food. He has had all his vegetables and fruits. Loves the teething biscuits and rice husks. He goes in for his 9 month check up in a couple of weeks, I'm sure he is close to 20 pounds.

Easter best
My little guy dressed in his Easter best! We had an Easter Fiesta this year! I vote we do that at least once a month! Next year Caleb will have an Easter egg hunt.

so cute

I just thought this outfit was so cute, I had to put him in it for a picture before he out grew it!

adorable

And this picture just cuz I think hes so cute! I am having so much fun being a mommy. Caleb has got his first tooth! The second one is right behind it! His little smile melts my heart every time I see it! I love walking into a room and seeing his face light up when he sees me. Who knew you could love someone sooo much?! We are still working on "ma ma" I say it to him and he says "da da" instead. Matt loves that!

I don't want to say I promise to do better at this blog thing cuz we all know that would be a lie. I will attempt to post something once a month. That's about all I can offer to do right now. Since I am so busy being a stay at home mom! HAHA! I know its rough being me!

Until next time! (who knows when that will be!)

6 months old!

I can't believe Caleb is 6 months old! It's crazy how fast it has gone by. I remember the first few days, thinking oh my gosh what have I done! Now I wouldn't change it for the world! I love love love being a mom! It is truly the greatest job in the world. I learn new things everyday with Caleb. I think we are a pretty good team! I love to watch Matt with Caleb too! Especially when they don't know I am watching! He is a great dad, and I fall more and more in love with that man everyday!

Caleb was 17.3 pounds and 26 1/4 inches (although I think he is longer. I watched her measure him and she didn't go all the way to the line!) at his check-up. He has made it to the 50th percentile. I think he's perfect! We started food! I bought organic oatmeal and he loved it! Since then we have had carrots and sweet potatoes, both with no problems. He loves to eat!

Time to catch up again!

Caleb's first Christmas was fun! He was spoiled rotten! Next year maybe he won't fall asleep half way through! Caleb loved zoo lights too!

I can't believe he is 5 months old! He is getting so big so fast! He loves his jumparoo and the excersaucer. He also loves to play on the floor. We attempt tummy time everyday. If I can keep him interested in something, like a toy, or me, he will stay on his tummy. But if he loses interest, he will roll over to his back. He is transferring toys from one hand to the other! He loves his feet! especially when he has shoes on or jammies with animals on the feet.

We have officially thrown in the towel on our battle with the bottle. We saw the lactation specialist last week and she suggested sippy cups. So we have skipped the bottles and moved on to the sippy cup. I think he is doing pretty good. I just need to have daddy feed him more. Next step is food! I am excited to feed him food, but I also have lots of questions for the doc so I guess we will wait until after his 6 month check up.

The next blog will have pictures I promise! until next time...
